<image:title>Philosophy - Life can be both messy and beautiful. Life also brings so many opportunities to dive deeper, to transform, and to learn how to love ourselves and others with open hearts. I believe that we all deserve a space to let our feelings be felt. We all deserve to have our experiences witnessed and held with compassion and kindness. My hope is that the therapeutic relationship is a healing one and that the space we create together supports growth and curiosity. Any type of transformation takes courage - courage to examine our woundedness, courage to embrace our vulnerability and our strength, and courage to stay aware in the present moment. I have learned from both my teachers and my clients that stepping into our courage creates space for deeper connection to ourselves and others. My approach to this work is rooted in compassion and human-to-human connection. I believe that authentic connection supports our capacity to grow and change. Connection allows our bodies to soften and our physical and emotional experiences to be explored and integrated. I welcome and affirm people of all gender/sexual identities, faith perspectives, and cultural backgrounds.</image:title>

<image:title>About</image:title>
<image:caption>My work is grounded in an integrated wellness approach that draws from human development, relational-cultural theory, trauma-informed care, and body-centered practice. I have had the honor of supporting clients through a wide range of concerns, including childhood and adult trauma, relationship difficulties, parenting and co-parenting challenges, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and significant life transitions. I am passionate about helping people look beneath the surface and explore the deeper roots of their experiences. My approach is heart-centered and collaborative, supporting each person’s capacity to bear witness to their own story with curiosity, compassion, and courage. This process often begins in the body. I incorporate body-centered practices to help clients deepen awareness, reconnect with their internal experience, and move toward a fuller expression of their authentic selves. My professional background includes leadership, crisis response, clinical practice, program development, and consultation. I served for seven years as Co-Director of Project Safe, Vanderbilt University’s Center for Sexual Violence Prevention and Response, before transitioning into a primary clinical role at Oasis Center, one of the nation’s leading youth-serving organizations. I later worked as a therapist in a dual-diagnosis mental health and substance use treatment program in Nashville. Throughout my career, I have consulted on projects in Tennessee and across the country related to trauma-informed care, crisis response and stabilization, and primary prevention. I also authored two curricula focused on girl-centered practice for the Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center in Jacksonville, Florida. I earned both my B.A. in Anthropology and my M.Ed. in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University. I have completed advanced training in body-centered psychotherapy, mindfulness-based practices, and trauma treatment. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor–Mental Health Service Provider in Tennessee and Alabama, a National Certified Counselor, a Safe & Sound Protocol Clinician, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.</image:caption>
